Position: Producing Artistic Director of the Robey Theatre Company
For the past 40 years, Ben Guillory Francisco and has worked extensively in theatre, film and television. Mr. Guillory is an award-winning director, has led The Robey Theatre Company for more than twenty-four years as CEO and Producing Artistic Director. For the past 15 years, he has served as instructor for Robey’s Advanced Scene Study Workshop, offered three times a year.
In addition to his administrative and instructor roles, he oversees all programs and productions. Mr. Guillory is supported by a team of Independent Contractors and long-time volunteers who perform administrative and creative functions.

Position: Office and Theatre Manager
Di Smith joined The Robey Theatre Company’s Administrative and Creative Team in March of 2018. With an extensive background in office administration, customer service, management and bookkeeping, Ms. Smith serves as executive assistant to the CEO and oversees all administrative a theatre operation. She is a graduate of Kaplan University in Medical Office Management. As an actress, her passion of theatre arts makes her a perfect fit for Robey.
Position: Social Media Manager and Creative Team
For over two years, JC has been a team member of The Robey Theatre Company. She currently supports the organization as social media manager and production staff. Additionally, she served as Office and Theatre Manager from 2016 to 2018.
JC is an actress and has performed in several of Robey’s productions. JC has a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from George Mason University and degree from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.
Position: Dramaturg and Instructor
For the past twelve years, Dylan Southard has served as Dramaturg and Instructor for Robey’s Playwrights Lab. The Playwrights Lab is where original works are developed for potential Robey productions. Mr. Southard is an experienced dramaturg, producer, and writer in the interactive entertainment and performing arts industries.
He has worked in dramaturgy and new play development for theaters including Centerstage Baltimore, Center Theatre Group, The Geffen Playhouse, Antaeus Theatre, Native Voices at the Autry, Boston Court Pasadena, Skylight Theatre, Theatre Dybbuk, the Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble, Rogue Artists and Casa 0101.
Position: Development Consultant
Marva Smith of Marva Smith Consulting is a nonprofit development consultant. Ms. Smith joined The Robey Theatre Company in March of 2017 and has guided the organization through its strategic planning work and assists with infrastructure building, contract management and fund development. Ms. Smith studied at administrative and legal processes at Mills College and organizational management at Antioch University at Los Angeles. Prior to launching her consulting firm, Ms. Smith was employed by Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Community Build, Inc. Her passion for theatre arts is centered around her work in Los Angeles as an actor and vocalist.
Position: Publicity and Media Representative
Philip Sokoloffis one of L.A.’s most active theatrical publicist, representing over 100 live attractions and several dozen feature films, annually. Among his clients are Robey Theatre Company (since 2001), Sierra Madre Playhouse (since 2004), Theatre Forty (since 2014), Edgemar Center for the Arts (since 2003), Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival (since 2001), Arena Cinemas (since 2014) and many more.
