Ben Guillory, Chair

Ben Guillory, an award-winning producer, and director has led The Robey Theatre Company for more than a quarter-century.  His passion for telling the important and moving stories of Black people is unmatched. Under his direction as Producing Artistic Director, more than thirty productions have been developed and presented.

Guillory studied at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco; and, for more than forty years, has worked extensively in theatre, film, and television as an actor, director, and producer.

J’on R. Dennis,

Treasurer

J’on R. Dennis, MA, CPA, is the Managing Partner of Dennis Duncan Accountants and Advisors. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2018.

During J'on's eighteen-plus years of public accounting, he has held several leadership positions with national and regional accounting firms, including a Fortune Global 500 company. In addition to his diverse accounting and SEC background, J'on holds undergraduate degrees in both Accounting Information Systems and Computer Science, as well as a master's degree in accounting from Eastern Michigan University.

Marisa Hall, Secretary

Marisa Hall has been a member of The Robey Theatre Company Board of Directors for more than five years. She serves as the orgnaization’s Secretary and Corporate Partner Liaison. Marisa is the Founder and Co-Owner of PhilanthropyIs and the owner of Marisa Hall Entertainment, specializing in consultation on Diversity, Inclusion, and Philanthropy in Media Matters.

John Fisher, AIA

Member, Executive Committee

John Fisher has been a member of The Robey Theatre Company’s Board of Directors for more than 18 years. John is President of JSFA, Inc.; and a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Acoustical Society of America, the United States Institute of Theatre Technology, and the League of Historic American Theatres. Among the well-known architectural design; projects he has managed in the Los Angeles Theatre Center in historic DTLA. He is the lead advisor on The Robey Theatre Company’s new theatre home development project.

Earl G. Wooten,

Chair, Capital Campaign

Member, Fund Development Committee

Earl G. Wooten is currently employed as a Senior Underwriter in the Wells Fargo Private Banking Division Throughout his career in banking, Earl has served as National Underwriting Manager for SunTrust Bank Factoring Division, Senior Credit Officer for Agricap Commercial Finance, and Senior Credit Review Examiner for; Bank of America.  

Currently, Earl serves as a Board Member of The Robey Theatre Company, Board Treasurer of the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, and Vice President of the International Black Writers and Artists of Los Angeles. From 2008 to 2018, he served as a Board Member of TEACH Academy Charter Schools, Los Angeles, and held the role of School Board President from 2016 - 2018.  He is formerly a member of the Board of Visitors of Davidson College and a Vice President of the Davidson College Alumni Association.

Kerri C. Taitt -Hoag

Chair, Fundraising Committee

A member of The Robey Theatre Company’s Board of Directors since 2019, Kerri has led the Robey Fund Development Committee (RFDC) for two years. She is a legal services professional, a graduate of the African American Board Leadership Institute (AABLI), and a member of the NAACP. Kerri is an accomplished mezzo-soprano and actor.
